Represented by CEO of Tzu Chi USA, Debra Boudreaux, Tzu Chi will hold the Co-chair for a period of two years effective January 1, 2022. Tzu Chi was honoured to be one of the 17 founding members, representing Buddhism, on the establishment of MFAC on September 21, 2018, in New York (as shown in the picture). Being appointed again as Co-chair, Debra shared, “The values found in Buddhism can often contribute to the solutions of today’s global issues, and we will continue to work towards these issues.” Nepal 06.01.2022 Nepal Expressed Thanks for the Help and Support On January 6, 2022, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) Nepal expressed thanks toTzuChi Foundation for its support in Nepal’s pandemic prevention, and presented a certificate of appreciation to representative and Vice President of Tzu Chi, Lin Pi-Yu, in an online ceremony. With concerted efforts of global Tzu Chi volunteers, the Foundation has provided material assistance and care to 126 countries that are combating the pandemic in the past two years. In his speech, MoHP Secretary, Dr. Roshan Pokhrel, said that Tzu Chi had rendered great assistance to Nepal when the pandemic ravaged the country, and he thanked Master Cheng Yen and Tzu Chi for this gift to the people of Nepal, the birthplace of Buddha.
