With compassion, we can eliminate anger. With giving, we can eliminate greed. With wisdom, we can eliminate ignorance. To develop a loving heart, we must take good care of our own heart and mind. To prevent anger from arising, we must look upon everything with compassion. To keep our greed from running rampant, we must practise giving. To eliminate ignorance, we must use wisdom to discern right from wrong. To cultivate these three qualities, we must practise mindfulness. When we walk, we should be mindful of our feet. When we carry things, we should be mindful of our hands. Taking good care of our hearts is spiritual cultivation. A
