Meanwhile, Tzu Chi Singapore re-launched the “Mentoring With Love” online tuition programme to help children of care recipients catch up with their studies. A team formed by members of Tzu Chi Collegiate Youth Association (Tzu Ching) and Tzu Chi Teachers’ Association will coach the 18 children registered for the programme over a period of four months. Besides giving tuition via cloud meeting platform, the Tzu Ching members also have the chance to join volunteers in their visits to the homes of the children, to better understand their family backgrounds. Singapore 2020.09.24 Mentoring With Love The 2020 Tzu Chi International Medical Association (TIMA) Convention, themed “Protecting Our Health, Our Earth and Our Spirit”, was held in Hualien, Taiwan, from October 1 to 3, 2020. Besides the 259 TIMA members in Taiwan, the Convention saw participation from more than 2,000 TIMA members from 25 countries/regions, via video conferencing. To cater for the participants of different nationalities, live interpretations were provided in English, Spanish, Indonesian, Burmese and Vietnamese languages. TIMA Convenor, Dr. Lin Chin-lon, hoped that the pandemic will be over soon and that the TIMAmembers can converge in Taiwan next year to share their experiences in the fight against the pandemic.
