Rising from the Aftermath of Cyclone Idai In mid-March 2019,Tropical Cyclone Idai ripped through easternAfrica, along with heavy rainfall measuring up to 1,000 mm, causing flooding and landslides. It was the worst disaster to hit eastern Africa in 20 years, leaving nearly 3 million casualties in its wake.
