23 I Will Always Be by Your Side Kuan Mun Jen, the leader of the Caring Team, has been living with cancer for over 20 years. Her illness and the loss of her husband awakened her to seize every moment to do good. In 2013, she opted for early retirement and began dedicating herself fully to Tzu Chi’s missions. Whenever a cancer case is reported in the community, she is there to offer comfort and companionship. Though life gets busier, she said, “ When you give, it is you who will receive happiness in return! ” Life is precious, with a journey uniquely our own.
