18 Institutional Care “When the unfortunate cannot find help, those who are blessed must go to them.” – Master Cheng Yen As early as 1994 and 1995, Tzu Chi volunteers began their monthly visits to the Sungai Buloh Leprosarium and Taman Sinar Harapan in Kuala Kubu Bharu respectively, offering services like haircuts, nail clipping, feeding, cleaning, and group recreation. These seemingly small acts of kindness continue to uplift the residents, enabling them to live with more dignity.
