In 2003, Tzu Chi was recognised by the United Nations as an international charitable NGO. International • 2010: Accepted as an NGO in Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC. • Since 2014: Invited to participate in the UN Climate Change Conference to express views on climate issues, and has been actively working towards the Sustainable Development Goals. • December 2020: Offered a seat on the Board of Trustees in the Parliament of the World’s Religions for a three-year term. • Tzu Chi’s innovative products for relief missions have won numerous awards, including the Red Dot Design Award and the Taiwan Excellence Award.
