07 TZU CHI 154 April 2–3 | Medical and Emotional Support Volunteers continued offering care and comfort. Traditional Chinese medicine practitioner Tan Soh Kict from TIMA provided acupuncture, cupping, and other treatments to displaced residents, relieving symptoms like coughing, insomnia, and emotional distress. April 6 | Home Visits to Deliver Blessings With access to the worst-hit areas still restricted, Tzu Chi mobilised 239 volunteers to 36 teams to visit 432 families in nearby areas. They delivered blessing packages and lent a listening ear, helping to calm residents’ fears with sincere care and presence. April 9, 11 & 14 | Entering Ground Zero Permission was granted to enter t h e s e v e r e l y a f f e c t e d Pu t r a Harmoni area. Over three separate d a y s , v o l u n t e e r s c omp l e t e d the registration of 132 affected households, carefully documenting t h e i r d e t a i l s a n d n e e d s i n preparation for the aid distribution. April 13 | Reaching Hard- Hit Village Areas With prior consent, 81 volunteers arrived at Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru but had to withdraw due t o ongo i ng c l ean - up e f f o r t s . Undeterred, about 40 returned that afternoon and completed the registration of 127 households in the hardest-hit areas, all amid light rain.
