They also delivered folding beds and wheelchairs besides offering emotional support to each displaced household. At around 8 a.m. on April 1, 2025, a powerful gas explosion tore through Putra Heights in Selangor. Flames soared 30 metres into the air and temperatures exceeded 1,000°C. The disaster damaged about 219 houses and injured 150 people. Watch the video April 20 | Financial Relief via Cash Cards Cash cards were distributed to 226 affected households at the Tzu Chi USJ Community Centre, with amounts based on the extent of property damage. An additional 22 households that were absent received their aid later at the Jing Si Hall. April 4–23 | Hospital Outreach to the Injured The explosion injured 150 people, with 104 seeking treatment – most for second- and third-degree burns. Despite visitation restrictions, Tzu Chi coordinated visits to 17 injured across four hospitals, offering care and cash aid. -Day Relief
