The world of Tzu Chi June 2025 (Vol.154)

TZU CHI 154 35 Tzu Chi Malacca brought Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) services to the community through a free clinic at K7 Malacca, treating 133 patients. Nine TCM practitioners skilled in orthopaedics, gynaecology, paediatrics, and acupuncture worked collaboratively to provide comprehensive care. Portable ECG equipment powered by AI technology further enhanced diagnostic accuracy. More than just treatment, the free clinic emphasised health education and lifestyle improvement. While the TCM practitioners conducted thorough consultations and administered treatments, volunteers offered warm companionship, allowing patients to experience both the efficacy of TCM and the compassion behind each healing touch. Primary 3 students from Tzu Chi International School Kuala Lumpur embarked on a five-week career exploration programme designed to foster gratitude and professional awareness. Parents were invited to share their professional experiences, offering children authentic glimpses into the challenges and rewards of various occupations. On March 20, the students visited KidZania, where they role-played as doctors, builders, and other workers. These hands-on activities deepened their appreciation for diverse careers whilst nurturing gratitude and responsibility. The programme concluded with a reflection on humanity’s environmental impact, encouraging students to weave eco-consciousness into their future professional aspirations.
