A bridge that connects On June 12, and knowing that the bridge construction was nearing an end, Hut Sea and fellow volunteers went to assist in setting up the walkway railings after their volunteer training session. “The Tzu Chi bridge has been completed. Best wishes and safe travels to everyone!” The volunteers offered their sincere wishes in unison. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, Ah Heng and his family, as well as the volunteers, happily stepped onto the sturdy and wide bridge, walking towards his house. When the volunteers took out the bamboo coin bank, they immediately went into the house to take out some coins or their coin banks to make donations, learning to pass the kindness forward to those in need. “Thank you, Tzu Chi!” Ah Heng thanked Tzu Chi and all the volunteers from the bottom of his heart, for relieving his worries. Now, the kids can walk safely across the bridge to and from home. Anon was also deeply grateful to Tzu Chi for providing the materials for building the bridge, which lessened their burden and lifted their worries about their children falling off. After more than a month of communications, and with the love and strength from everyone, the living condition of the family has finally improved. They now have a safe home, which gives peace of mind.
