Although he was not in a position to fork out money, he could assist through his efforts. On January 22, a day before Tzu Chi’s cash relief distribution for Taman Sri Nanding flood victims, volunteers invited Kwee Hoong and his family to assist in the preparation work, fulfilling his earlier promise to volunteer. He said, “When we put our hands together, more help can be rendered to people who are in difficulty.” Indeed, kindness is priceless. It is a beautiful gift. When we put a smile on someone’s face, our hearts will also radiate with joy. And this light within us will shine brighter and illuminate the world around us.
