30 2022 • 02 Uniting love and solidarity In late May 2021, Malaysia’s daily confirmed Covid-19 cases breached the 8,000 mark. As the medical system was strained, Tzu Chi immediately launched a third wave relief effort. Then, on June 1, Tzu Chi launched the Malaysia Solidarity Covid-19 Fund, and raised over RM30 million to lend support to medical institutions and families impacted by the pandemic. In August, Tzu Chi’s “One Person One Good Deed” campaign saw an overwhelming response with contributions from over 340,000 donors.
