Each beneficiary also received ten pieces of face masks. TNI officer, Budi Sumarsono was pleased with the collaboration and thankful for being able to help those who were in need. One of the scavengers, Kalai (pseudonym), was happy to receive the rice. He said, “Thank you for the supplies. May it bring blessings to all of us.” Singapore 08–10.2021 Stand in Solidarity With Malaysia Tzu Chi Singapore launched the “Stand in Solidarity With Malaysia to Fight Covid-19” project fromAugust 8 to October 9, 2021, to extend love and care to neighbouring Malaysia, where the Covid-19 pandemic continued to be a threat. Besides fundraising through various platforms, members of TIMA Singapore also held an online programme named “In Good Health” and invited everyone to gather online for mooncake-making, “mind yoga” and other activities. The objective was not just to raise funds, but also to share healthcare messages to encourage everyone to stay physically and mentally healthy during the pandemic. Thanks to the enthusiastic response, the donation raised doubled the initial goal of SGD500,000 (about RM1.5 million), brightening hope for their struggling neighbours.
