Tzu Chi International MedicalAssociation (TIMA) also set up a taskforce to communicate with major hospitals to be kept updated on their medical needs and to meet the shortfall whenever required. Being part of the taskforce, I became aware of the massive efforts and attendant difficulties in carrying out this project. I also realized how cautious and prudent Tzu Chi is in spending public donations. I remember once I was so touched and thankful to spot a Tzu Chi logo on the high- flow nasal cannula that a recovering Covid-19 patient was using. I really wanted everyone to see and know that the medical equipment that they have donated are silently protecting our patients. All these reminded me to always have a sense of gratitude and to treasure the precious medical equipment and supplies. Our life is truly valuable when we seize each present moment to contribute what we can. I am grateful to Tzu Chi for showing me a direction in my medical practice. I am certain that even after many years, I will not regret what I am doing now—bravely standing on the frontline and giving my best in this fight against Covid-19. As the saying goes, “There is always a rainbow after the storm.” The pandemic will pass one day, and I believe the love and kindness will forever be etched in our hearts.
