Behind the humorous tone were untold complex emotions and social issues. Another person who is visually impaired and lives alone, strives to learn and use technology to overcome various barriers. Be it going to work, attending classes or seeing a doctor, he can handle them independently. In conjunction with International Day of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) on December 3, the Malaysia Independent Living Association for Disabled (MILAD) launched an awareness-cum-fundraiser campaign named “No Thumb Challenge” in October, inviting the public to complete specific activities without using their thumbs.
