A landfill takes away a lot of space. So, when we recycle, we can reduce the usage of landfill. Recycling involves a simple act, yet it is not easy to carry out. We should educate the public to sort out the recyclables before sending them to the recycling centres. This can reduce the workload on the volunteers. • Became a vegetarian since 2016, and in 2020, converted Berjaya Café in Berjaya Times Square Hotel to a vegetarian café. • Offered a lot in Berjaya Times Square shopping mall with free rental, in support of the operations of a pre-loved fashion store, 5R Eco. • Established Save the Sea Sdn Bhd to clean up rivers and prevent pollution from marine debris. I encourage my staff to pick up at least one recyclable item a day, and with some 20,000 of them, we can reduce 20,000 pieces of rubbish. If everyone in the world is to do the same, we can reduce 7.8 billion pieces of rubbish each day. • Became a vegetarian in July 2018 and promotes vegetarianism in his company by providing subsidized vegetarian meals. • Recycles rubber waste from the manufacturing process. • Implemented recycling day within the company and advocates a paperless environment while encouraging everyone to bring their own food containers and to avoid using single-use plastics.
