Even in his twilight years, he persisted in volunteering with Tzu Chi and seized every opportunity to contribute to charitable causes. The Legacy of a Generous Soul T zu Chi volunteer Lim Kok Hua was affectionately known as “Grandpa” for his kindly, down-to-earth demeanour, always friendly to his peers and caring towards his juniors. He took on various responsibilities and devoted himself wholeheartedly to serving others, be it directing traffic under the scorching sun, assisting the disabled with pushing their wheelchair or cleaning duties. eople Grandpa Lim’s affinity with Tzu Chi dated back to the year 2000, when Tzu Chi Klang was recently established. During a Chinese New Year gathering among the Lim family, a friend of Grandpa Lim’s daughter- in-law and Tzu Chi volunteer, Aw Kwai Wan was invited as a guest. Kwai Wan took the opportunity to introduce Tzu Chi to those present at the gathering, sparking Grandpa
