The world of Tzu Chi April 2020 (Vol.121)

05 Since the onset of the unprecedented movement control order (MCO), Malaysians have been counting down the days to eventual freedom, only to see the countdown timer being reset with a two-week extension. Spirits were running low and morale began to dip as times of uncertainty loom ahead. Although we are confined indoors for an extended period of time, we continue to stand in solidarity with the dedicated doctors, nurses, police and army personnel who have been working hard to maintain order and save lives. Tzu Chi volunteers have been lending a helping hand to not only the frontliners, but also the vulnerable and disadvantaged by providing material assistance and moral support throughout the MCO, as the nation anticipates the light at the end of the tunnel.
