For example, when a handful of people go to a vegetable garden to pick vegetables, they might have different opinions and all refuse to give in. One wants to pick water spinach, one wants to pick amaranth, and yet another one says, “If we pick water spinach, then we don’t need amaranth.” Then, after coming back with the vegetables, when the person in charge of cooking sees the vegetables, he or she might say, “It’s raining, so the vegetable leaves are covered in dirt. I need to take so much time to wash them. Why didn’t you pick bottle gourds? They are so much easier to wash!” Look! Four people have four different opinions—what a hassle! The doctor there said that they would have to amputate her foot. This young lady heard this and said anxiously, “I want to transfer to a Tzu Chi hospital.” Therefore, at five in the afternoon, she was quickly transported from Taitung to Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital, where she arrived at almost ten at night. Director Chen Ying-Ho (now the superintendent of Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital) immediately took her to the operating room. He spent more than five hours putting all the broken bones back in their original positions. It was nearly dawn when he finished the surgery. As the doctor left the operating room, he told her husband, “She must undergo another surgery because the backbone of her
