The world of Tzu Chi (Vol.111)

TZU CHI 111 37 The Buddha Bathing Ceremony held at the Tzu Chi Kota Tinggi Liaison Office was attended by over 200 members of the public. TheCeremony was complemented by filial gratitude ceremonies, introductory sessions on Tzu Chi’s missions, as well as a retrospective exhibition reliving memories of the 2006 Kota Tinggi floods. Vegetarian meals were also served at the event. Tzu Chi Muar organized a series of three Buddha Bathing Ceremonies throughout May 11 and 12, 2019 at the Tzu Chi Bakri Activity Centre and Tzu Chi Segamat Community Centre with a combined attendance of 1,245. Local volunteers conducted a Buddha Bathing Ceremony each at the Bekok Recycling Centre and in the town of Chaah, which culminated in a total of 248 attendees. The Buddha Bathing Ceremony organized by Tzu Chi Kluang at the premises of the Che Luan Khor Moral Uplifting Society was attended by nearly 800 members of the public. Several designated areas were set up to host myriad activities that aim to enable visitors to gain a better understanding of Tzu Chi, an exhibition highlighting Tzu Chi’s humanitarian missions, informative installations promoting environmental conservation and vegetarianism, prayer offerings, filial gratitude ceremonies and bamboo bank collection.
