2019 • 05 24 long way in helping others. Ngoi Lee’s mother enjoys being involved in recycling work at the recycling point, as keeping active reminds her not to take her health for granted. She noted with a smile that partaking in recycling efforts has lifted Ngoi Lee’s spirits, while busying herself with recycling work offered her a chance to clear her mind of worries and liberated her from the shackles of bitter thoughts, restoring her heart to a clean slate. Ngoi Lee and his mother were invited to the Year-end Blessing Ceremony on December 16, 2018, at the KL Tzu-Chi Jing Si Hall. At the event, Ngoi Lee shared his personal experiences onstage and encouraged the audience to brace oneself when faced with suffering. He also took the opportunity to present his mother with a cup of tea with all due reverence before the audience, besides expressing his gratitude for her unconditional love and attention. Ngoi Lee’s mother later confessed to being profoundly moved by her son’s filial gestures. She made a silent vow to take care of herself and maintain a clean bill of health for as long as she possibly could – all so that she could stay by Ngoi Lee’s side for many more years to come. At the 2018 Year-end Blessing Ceremony, Chong Ngoi Lee presented his mother with a cup of tea before the audience to express his gratitude for her unconditional love and care.
