Patience is a crucial virtue to have when interacting with our care recipients, because they need a listening ear to confide their troubles to. Kim Peow’s family was observing us closely from the sidelines as they had reservations towards us, so being sincere in all we do for him is very important. After nearly a year of caring for him, his family started to accept us, especially his wife, who would greet us warmly.
