Sending Love to Hualien Residents “I planned to save up money for a laptop. But upon hearing news of the Hualien earthquake, I donated my savings, because the welfare of the disaster victims is of paramount importance.” Young Syrian refugee, Mohammed Seho, fled with his family to Turkey and enrolled in the El Menahil International School supported by Tzu Chi. Was he reluctant to part with his savings? “No. If the Hualien residents still require aid, I will save up more to donate!” He replied without hesitation, before asking, “How are they doing in Taiwan?” On February 2018, young Syrian refugee, Mohammed Seho contributed his savings for a laptop towards relief efforts in the wake of the Hualien earthquake.
