He said, “Master Cheng Yen has observed the many unfortunate events happening in the world, emphasising the need for global attention and care. Master’s thoughtfulness is truly remarkable.” He was also touched by how the care recipients persevered through adversity and transformed their lives from hopelessness to newfound direction and vibrancy after encountering Tzu Chi. “It is as if they received a second chance at life.” He remarked. D ato’Dr. Sharifah, Chairman of Global Doctors Malaysia, has attended the opening ceremony of Tzu Chi Hospital in Indonesia and the TIMA Convention, among others. After watching the “Tzu Chi 2023 Year in Review”, she commended that Tzu Chi is an extraordinary organisation, well-managed, and has done a great deal of good for the world. She said, “I am a witness. What Tzu Chi has done is not just seen in videos; it is real, and I find it very meaningful.” W hen a former care recipient turned up onstage, mentioning the encouragement she received from the Master, Father George Harrison nodded in agreement. “The Master said, ‘Now that you have risen above adversity, you must look ahead and move forward.’ Jesus also said, ‘Keep going forward!’ Both Tzu Chi and our teachings emphasise Great Love and courage.” Stepping into the new year, Father encouraged everyone, “Summon courage and move forward with hope.”
