Seeing how exhausted our frontliners were, I pondered as to what I could do for them. When I learnt that a vaccination centre would be set up at the KL Tzu-Chi Jing Si Hall, I readily undertook the coordinator role for the Thursday shift. When I, a single mother, needed my children to sign the family consent form, they hesitated as they were worried about my safety. I persuaded them saying, “Those who can give are blessed. We are healthy, so we should contribute. Many frontliners are still fighting. If we don’t help them, who will?” In the end, they reluctantly gave in, and I promised them that I would adhere to the preventive SOPs strictly.
