At that time, not many had been vaccinated, and since one of the conditions to volunteer was to have had at least one vaccine jab, which I had, I felt I should undertake this responsibility. Besides, it had been a while since Tzu Chi organized an event, so I would not want to miss any chance to contribute. On the day of the trial run, I applied for leave from work and served at the temperature check station, so that I could familiarize myself with the operation flow and be more prepared for my role as team leader for that purpose.
