Some Tzu Chi donors and public members also gathered their friends to cook at their homes for the cause. Hence, almost half of the meal packs were contributed by the community,” related volunteer Lee Sek Wan. One of the kind Samaritans was Jou Jooi Sang, who runs an eatery. He agreed to cook and sponsor 200 meal packs for the flood victims when volunteer Lai Nyok Chan told him about the relief effort.
