2019 • 10 36 Twenty-four International Youth Ambassadors from Taiwan embarked on a trip to Malaysia as part of the 2019 International Youth Ambassadors Exchange Programme by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The group of Youth Ambassadors, led by Amb. James C.P. Chang, arrived at the KL Tzu- Chi Jing Si Hall to meet and exchange views with members of the KL & Selangor Tzu Chi Collegiate Association (Tzu Ching), before visiting Tzu-Chi Free Clinic in Pudu and the Unity Refugee School in Ampang. The Tzu Ching members shared with their Taiwanese counterparts their efforts in making an impact through community service initiatives. This excursion provided an avenue for youths from both Malaysia and Taiwan to interact and learn from each other, leaving them motivated to take on more charitable deeds. The camp programme was based on the theme of compassion with three objectives, namely to introduce Tzu Chi, provide in-depth insights into Tzu Chi’s missions and values, as well as putting knowledge into practice by serving the community. In addition, follow-up sessions that support the aforementioned objectives would be conducted over the next three months to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of Tzu Chi.
