Y10 English Writing Heng Yong En Y10 CFD Title: Why There Should Be An Increased Use of AI In Schools AI, short for Artificial Intelligence, is the ability of computer-programmed machines to imitate intelligent human beings. It is a well-known term that serves itself as a controversy in the evolving world that we live in. People wonder whether AI is for the better or for the worse, especially when exposed to young individuals. Despite the negativity surrounding AI, educational boards should be aware that the approach of AI has made distinctive impacts and that it has the potential to lead students to success in the future world. In the context of expenses, some might have the opinion that AI is pricey and materialistically fragile. But we have to consider that, in the long-run, we are primarily paying for the initial cost, and more importantly, digital teachers do not need to be paid salaries on a regular basis. Utilising AI for changes in the syllabus is a better alternative compared to human teachers signing up for paid educational courses. AI is efficient in the sense that the programme can be easily updated with modified changes and there will be minor misleads. Others might argue that AI has the downside of not being programmed with human social interactive abilities to sympathise or understand an individual's emotions or feelings. Looking at the advantage of not having the possessions of emotions, we can identify that this instead provides a more professional and productive teaching process. In detail, it would be impossible for AI to undergo adverse and negative emotions, to name a few, mood swings and depression, which are factors in the arising of conflict between a teacher and student or parent.
