Y9 English Writing Mun Zhen Yip Y9 CFD Title: Chance Tim felt angry as he got off the train. His face was as red as an apple. Smoke came streaming out of his head. He clenched his fists hard. He was about to explode. Stomping hard like an elephant, Tim exclaimed. “This is the worst train service ever!”. Passersby were astonished and shocked that they turned back to see what was transpiring. A few moments ago… Tim was soaked to the skin. There was orange juice all over him. His clothes were drenched and he even left a tail of footsteps covered in orange juice. Turns out, there was an accident that happened during Tim’s ride. As the train was hitting the brakes, the waitress who was serving Tim lost her balance and stumbled into him and caused a chaotic scene. As Tim thought things couldn’t get any worse, a mischievous boy came running towards him at the speed of light. Tim’s life flashed before his eyes. He fell down with a loud thump. The file that he was holding on flew up in the air and papers were scattered all over the floor. Tim was lost for words. His mind was blank and could not comprehend what had just happened. He sat still on the floor and a few seconds later, he was crying his eyes out. “Now I won’t be able to get there in time for my job,” whimpered Tim like a baby. He was doomed when he thought about his job interview in an hour. All of a sudden, Tim felt a light tap on his shoulder. When Tim raised his head up, he was surprised to see that his boss, Jeff, was standing next to him. “Why don’t we reschedule the appointment and you get yourself a good shower first?” asked Jeff with a comforting tone. Tim was deeply touched, he nodded his head in agreement. Later that day, he received a call from Jefff to meet up in his office. After a long conversation, Tim was seen shaking hands and thanking Jeff for the offer. Tim thanked Jeff’s benevolence and his day was restored with happiness once again. Student Work 215
